Choose your trustees

The Board of Trustees manages LA Health Medical Scheme on your behalf. They are responsible for making important decisions that affect your benefits and the Scheme. You told us who you would like to represent you on the Board of Trustees and we listened. We’ve put together a list of all the candidates who qualify to serve you as Trustees. This is your chance to have a say in who you want to make decisions on your behalf.

1. What you need to vote

We need your help to choose from the list of nominees by following the process here below:

To make voting easy, we send out voting packs as per your communication preference. These packs will include:

  • Your ballot paper
  • A summary of each candidate’s CV
  • Instructions on how to vote.

Each ballot paper will be validated either through your email address if you have received it via email or by a unique code block (QR code) if you have received the voting pack through the post.

2. Voting

Your vote will be used to elect eight of the sixteen Trustees to serve on the Board. Don’t worry if you don’t know them personally, their CV’s will tell you a little bit about each of them so you can make an informed choice.

You can vote for up to eight nominated candidates, but your ballot will count even if you vote for less than eight candidates. If you vote for more than eight candidates, your vote won’t count.

3. Send your vote to KPMG by 31 May

Your instructions will tell you where to send your ballot paper. KPMG, the Scheme’s Auditor, is handling the election for us. If you send your ballot paper to us or our administrator, Discovery Health, your vote won’t be counted. Your vote has to reach KPMG on 31 May 2018 at the latest.
