Use the Remedi app to get the most out of your Benefit Option

You’re more likely to forget your wallet at home than to forget to grab your cellphone. We use our smartphones to bank, connect with other people, and to shop online. With the Remedi app, you can also manage your Remedi membership whenever and wherever it suits you.

The app gives you a digital copy of your membership card, lets you send us claims, request important documents like proof of membership, check what benefits you have available, find a healthcare provider close to you that charges our rates, and much more!

App basics

The Remedi app is available for Android and Apple smart devices. To use the app, you first have to register on www.yourremedi.co.za since you use the same login details on the app as you do for the website. If you haven’t registered yet, visit the Remedi website and choose REGISTER in the top-right corner and follow the prompts.

Your membership card at the click of a button

The Remedi app has a digital copy of your membership card, just in case you don’t have the plastic card with you. The digital card works the same way as the plastic card and tells healthcare providers you are a member of Remedi.

To find it, scroll down and select Membership card to view a digital copy of your membership card.

Find a healthcare provider we pay for in full

Network providers charge our rates, so we pay the whole bill as long as you have benefits available. With the app, it’s easy to find the closest network pharmacy, hospital, specialist or GP. Simply scroll down to Healthcare providers, and choose Find a healthcare provider.

Send us claims and track them

If your healthcare provider is part of our network, you don’t have to send us their bill since they’ll send it to us directly. If you have to send us a claim, scroll down to Claims and touch Submit a claim. You can take a photo of your bill and send it to us.

Track which benefits you’ve used

You might not know what benefits you have on your Benefit Option, but the app can give you that information. To find out what benefits you’ve used and which ones you still have available, scroll down to Your benefit options and touch Benefits used.

Find important documents

You can ask us to email you a copy of your member certificate or application forms. Choose Your benefit options, and touch Documents.

View your authorised hospital admissions

You don’t have to write your authorisation details on a piece of paper. You can find your hospital preauthorisation on the app when you touch Hospital preauthorisation under Healthcare providers.

Access your health record

Want to view your medical history with us? View a full medical record of your doctor and hospital visits, prescribed medicine, blood tests and X-rays, as well as other health measures. Scroll down to Your health and choose Health record.
