You’ve heard that you can get up to 50% of your monthly fuel spend back if you join Vitalitydrive, but must be wondering how it all works? Here’s a quick guide on how you can easily reap the rewards.

How to earn DQ Points

You earn DQ Points with Vitalitydrive, which will then translate into rewards. The more DQ Points you earn, the more your rewards will be.

So how do you go about earning DQ Points? It’s actually quite easy. You can earn DQ Points by:

Simply driving well and remaining claims free. This will earn you up to 1 100 DQ Points every month.
Increasing your knowledge and awareness by completing certain assessments and courses. This will earn you a further up to 350 DQ Points a month.
Completing and passing your Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check. This activity will earn you up to 150 DQ Points a month.

Certain assessments and courses will give you points either monthly, or over a 12 or 24 month period, depending on the activity. For example, passing the Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check earns you up to 150 DQ Points every month for 12 months.

How fuel rewards are calculated

Each DQ Point you earn enables you to get fuel rewards on R1 of fuel or Gautrain spend or both:

	Essential Plan car insurance only	Essential Plan car and home insurance	Classic and Executive Plan car insurance only	Classic and Executive Plan car and home insurance	Motorcycle only and home insurance
Immediate rewards	5%	10%	10%	20%	10%
Rewards for passing a Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check	12.5%	25%	25%	50%	25%

To qualify for the maximum fuel rewards percentage, you need to pass a Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check and have insured a building or household contents or both for a minimum of R250 000.

Keep track of your DQ Points and fuel rewards by visiting your Vitalitydrive dashboard

Your Vitalitydrive dashboard will show you how many DQ Points you’ve earned over the previous month. You will also be able to see the fuel rewards you have received for the month and a detailed breakdown of your driving score. If there are any activities that you have not completed yet, you can also see them here and click through to more information. You’ll also see when your completed activities expire.
