When should I get vaccinated?

When it comes to getting the flu vaccine, the earlier the better. It is preferable that you get it now in March or April, but as long as the flu virus is circulating, vaccination will be effective.

Contact your healthcare professional or a pharmacy in the Vitality Wellness Network to get your flu vaccination.

Protect yourself and earn Vitality points

Everyone on Vitality who receives the flu vaccine this year will earn 1 000 Vitality points. Make sure you protect yourself and your family and get vaccinated!

Professional services fees 

Some pharmacies may charge for the administration of the flu vaccine. Please ask your pharmacist about this. Professional services for the administration of the vaccine could be paid out of your day-to-day benefits if you have funds available.

Claiming your points

If you send your claim for the vaccinations to Discovery Health, your Vitality points will be awarded automatically. If not, you can fax your membership number and invoice to 011 539 7347 or email claimvitalitypoints@discovery.co.za with a scanned copy.
