If you’re sending us a new prescription

You can easily order your medicine in one place:

Log in to our website or app.
Upload your prescription.
Choose if you want MedXpress to deliver your medicine or if you want to collect it from a MedXpress pharmacy.

If you’re ordering medicine again

You can order medicine for a repeat prescription, and change if you want us to deliver your medicine to you (and give a new address if that’s changed) or if you want to collect it yourself from a MedXpress pharmacy.

Discovery MedXpress is a convenient medicine ordering service, particularly for monthly medicine repeats. You can get your medicine delivered to you or collect it from participating pharmacies.

Steps to follow for the delivery of a new order

A copy of your prescription to be uploaded via the website under “Order Medicine using MedXpress”
Confirm all relevant details and special instructions about your order and delivery of your medicine
You will not be required to call the call centre as the order will be placed
Your script can take us about two hours to capture (sometimes longer in peak periods). You will receive an SMS once we have captured your order.
If your prescription contains Schedule 5 medicine/s, your original prescription must be sent to us by registered post.
Delivery will then be within three working days if you live in a metropolitan area – or five working days if you live in an outlying area. (Weekends and public holidays are not included).

Steps to follow for In-store collect orders

Upload your prescription.
Choose a pharmacy from the list.
If your order has a co-payment, and you do not have any saved payment details, you will receive an SMS to advise you to settle the co-payment on the website.
Your script can take us about two hours to capture (sometimes longer in peak periods). You will receive an SMS once we have captured your order.
If there are any delays, MedXpress will let you know
Your collect order will be ready within three to six working hours, depending on stock availability. Orders placed after 15:00 will be ready the next day. Orders placed after 15:00 on a Friday will be ready the following Monday.
Have your original prescription on hand at the pharmacy when collecting your first order.
